Baby Nance's debut

He's here! Paul Royal Nance joined us at 8:32 am on September 29. (Winner of the predict-athon is being determined.)

After a run in with the meconium, he spent about an hour hooked up to this fun machine...

Just a little gem...

[Setting: 8:30 on a Sunday evening, front entryway of our house. We are preparing to go out for a walk in hopes of getting Baby Nance here before Halloween...]

me: (to Mark, as I tie my shoes) Why are you holding your golf club?
Mark: (glancing at the driver in his hand) Because we're going for a walk.
me: (As I am without words, I say nothing.)
Mark: (in a matter-of-fact tone) Anytime we'd go out walking after dark, my dad would always bring something, like a baseball bat or something. You know, just in case. Had to use it once... on a dog.
me: Seriously?
Mark: Fine, I'll take the putter instead.

Our "new" life, the nutshell version

Here's what we've been up to in the past month:

Still pregnant (and dorky...)

Great buys at yard sales every Saturday!
(With Dad Nance and sometimes Leslee)

Fun at the Provo Farmers Market
(Awesome onesie and earrings!)

Getting spoiled by Grandma Shelly

Having our portraits drawn on our front porch by 3 adorable nieces
(from top left, that's me, Mark, and Baby)

I'll  post more soon, apartment pictures and whatnot, but all of the other pictures are on our other camera (since we have a brand new one that actually powers on every time, thanks to the Nances!) that is with Mark at school.

Get your baby predictions in now!

No real news yet (sorry), but the Nances have started a predict-a-thon for Baby Nance: what day he'll come, how much he'll weigh, and how long he'll be. I just think it's interesting to see what everyone thinks, so feel free to comment and add your guess! I'll be tracking them in the sidebar. Winner gets the glory and not much else. :)

Alive and Well

Just a quick note so everyone knows that we are both alive and well here in Springville. We don't have internet at our new place yet, and I keep forgetting to bring the photos that I want to post, so someday there will be a whole slough of new posts here, for those of you who might want to see our apartment and get the updates on all of our adventures here. Hold out the faith -- we will be interesting bloggers again someday. :)
