My wonderfully amazing husband

turns 25 today!

Seen here posing by his favorite tree, this handsome man is the love of my life and I am so glad that he was born a full quarter century ago today. I'd love to take the time to tell you 25 fantastic things about him, but we have lots of other fun birthday things to finish up, so I'm just going to tell you one thing that will make you all fantastically jealous: anytime he is home, he voluntarily changes diapers.

This is just part of just one thing that makes Mark wonderfully amazing: he is willing to do whatever necessary to keep his family happy and safe. That includes missing his own graduation where he graduated magna cum laude to not drive in blizzarding conditions, working a second job on the weekends as the gelato boy, staying home Wednesday evenings with little Paul while I go to Young Women activities, and putting up with our chaotic, hurricane-just-hit household without complaining even though it drives him just a little bit crazy. :)

Happy birthday and we love you!

Prioritizing and the blog...

I know that many of you can empathize: so many things to do, only so much time, and so many things that must be done even though they're no fun (such as laundry, grocery shopping, and dishes). In that long list of demands on my time, blogging (quite unfortunately) is toward the bottom. So, amidst the holiday hubbub, it's probably not going to happen. Just wanted to let you know. When I do rejoin the blogging world at a point much closer to 2010, I promise you this:
  1. Little Paul will make his blogosphere debut and begin his writing debut
  2. I will post photos of long-gone events, such as moving and graduation (including photos of our new place, all 1.5 bathrooms of it).
  3. Other great things will come to pass.
Until then, cheers and happy holidays!
